PRODUCT:

Sea Producer is a low-cost buoy-based production system with subsea storage intended to operate in the oil production range of 5,000 to 30,000 bbls/day. It is substantially more cost-effective than other systems around, in both capital and operating cost and its cost can be amortised over several fields.

Sea Producer comprises a buoyant surface structure with three equipment decks in its main hull. The lower of these houses process equipment (first and second stage separation, hydrocyclones etc.) All produced fluids are limited to this deck. The upper deck supports heat generation and control systems to facilitate effective oil processing and stabilisation.

Sea Producer's large access tube provides a route from the surface for equipment maintenance, service and air intake and exhaust. The access tube also supports a control and power generation module (and helideck) above the highest water level.

Sea Producer is anchored under buoyant tension to a gravity base and has an associated storage facility with a fluid export system. This can be located adjacent to the system or in deeper waters can be incorporated into the base itself.

LOW-COST AUTONOMOUS PRODUCTION

Sea Producer routes produced fluid (oil/gas) from one or more subsea subsea wells via a quasi-static riser. The oil is stabilised and returned to the seabed for storage in a seabed storage facility for later off-take. Produced gas is used to generate heat to aid separation and power for on-board powered equipment or ESP's.  Surplus gas can be re-injected or exported.

Independent studies based on current North Sea safety philosophy estimate the Fatal Accident Rate (FAR) inherent in a Sea Producer type facility to be only one third of that accepted for a similar sized platform facility.

Sea Producer is designed as a normally unmanned (NUI) facility with minimum on-board equipment. Its availability has been conservatively estimated at 96% of real time assuming a mean time to repair (MTTR) of five days.

The Sea Producer buoy system is based on a proven design currently in use at both the East Spar field, NW Australia and at the Mossgas E-M Field Offshore South Africa.

Sea Producer represents a key to unlock currently unrecoverable oil/gas reserves. It will provide a major tool for the development of marginal reserves well into the next century.

Sea Producer provides:
Low Cost Production Facility (Capex)
Un-manned, Remote Production
Minimal Logistic Support Requirment
Low Operating Cost (Opex)
Re-usability
Minimum Environmental Impact
